STEP 1: Choose a rib steak about 2 cm thick to ensure even and flavorful cooking.
STEP 2: Take the rib steak out of the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before cooking to let it reach room temperature.
STEP 3: Preheat your pan over high heat and add a bit of olive oil to sear the meat well.
STEP 4: Place the rib steak in the hot pan and cook for about 3 minutes on each side for rare doneness.
STEP 5: Lower the temperature to medium heat, add butter and rosemary to flavor the rib steak.
STEP 6: Continue cooking for 8 to 10 minutes, turning the meat regularly for even cooking.
STEP 7: Once cooked, remove the rib steak from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Successfully cooking a rib steak remains an art within reach. By considering the thickness of the meat, it is possible to adjust the cooking time according to your preferences, whether rare or well-done. Searing the meat over high heat initially creates a flavorful crust, while a gentler cooking finishes the inside tenderly.
Do not underestimate the importance of good seasoning, such as salt or butter, which enhances the natural flavor. Also keep in mind the different cooking methods, whether in a pan or oven, to achieve different results based on your desires.
